Hey Guys,
Just a little hair update to let you know that I am still a bit ambivalent about Cassia. I was so excited before I first tried it after reading about all of the wonderful benefits, like gaining thick and shiny hair. Even better, it's not supposed to leave any coloring (or at least any color that would show up on dark hair).
I've only used it twice so far (once last month and once this month), so I know that I am probably not giving it enough time to build up on its potential. I also know that Cassia is not as powerful as Henna. Each treatment left my hair, well, the same as it was before, which is not bad. But since it's extra time and conditioning that I'm adding in, I just thought I'd see a little extra love, do you know what I mean? So far, I am noticing no dramatic shine or increased thickness like I had with Henna.
Many of you already know of my love/hate relationship with Henna. I was a fan of the benefits, but after a while the red was just getting to me. My Cassia mixture simply consists of warm water and Cassia powder, mixed until a yogurt consistency. I leave it on for an hour then rinse out. I then follow up with an hour deep conditioning treatment. In any case, I'm going to finish up the bag and a half I have left. And I'll keep telling myself patience is key. We'll see where it takes me. Go team!
Have any of you had a similar experience with Cassia? Or better yet, if any of you have had great success with Cassia, please fill me in (as in the words of Craig David)! Also, I would love to hear of any other hair recipes you guys are digging!
