Hey guys,
I am excited to report that I tried a couple of new things this weekend...and it is working great so far!
This past Sunday I was feeling creative and decided to make my own homemade deep conditioning treatment using some ingredients that I had laying around the house. So I grabbed an avocado, because I heard of all its beneficial conditioning properties. I also added a couple of splashes of olive oil. Both ingredients are loaded with vitamin E. I mixed the avocado and olive oil until it was about the consistency of thick yogurt (I refrained from dipping a tortilla chip into this joint). I then applied it to my freshly washed hair and let it sit for about 30 minutes under a plastic cap. And let me tell you, when I washed this concoction out, my hair was left SUPER shiny. I mean, wow! I was really pleased with the results. So, if you have some avocados laying around definitely give this one a try and see how it works!
Ok, now for the second new thing: I just recently received my shipment from Karen's Body Beautiful! I have been hearing really great things about her products so I decided to give it a whirl. I ordered the Hair Nectar and the Hair Butter (both in the Vanilla Latte scent). Oh my! I've only tried it for two days but it is AMAZING. It leaves my hair ridiculously soft and the scent is so yummy. I literally was salivating. KBB Hair Nectar and Hair Butter might have to be added to the staples. The Hair Butter is super creamy and does not leave your hair greasy or oily. The Hair Nectar is very light in consistency but trust me it still leaves your hair feeling silky and moisturized. We'll see how it progresses.
