Happy Black History Month!

Remember the strength, courage, resilience, wisdom and beauty of our people. I think of the word "black" as a unifying term that connects us from Timbuktu to Paris, from London to Bahia, from Kingston to Harlem, and from so many other places that have been touched by our greatness! Black is not our skin, our hair, our noses, our lips- it is the strength we carry in our backs, our shoulders, our necks to our heads high. It is you, it is me. It is our smile, our laughs, our pride. It is our tears, our sorrows, our struggles. It is our swagger, our coolness. It is our song. Celebrate our beauty and our diversity! What does black mean to you?
