Hey Guys,
I made a little tweak in my hair care regime. I decided to start shampooing every week instead of every two weeks. I think I like the "state" of my hair better when I am washing it every week (usually on a Sunday). I also do a moisturizing deep conditioning treatment after I shampoo. I also am using a non-sulfate shampoo (I have a half a bottle of Aubrey Organics Honey Suckle Rose Shampoo -- so I will finish that off).
I also want to try Teri's "Tightly Curly Method," where you load up your hair with conditioner (which I have a bunch of bottles that I want to finish off) and define using a Denman Brush and your good ol' hands. This method is supposed to yield long lasting, glossy curls. I can't wait to try it out. I will show you guys the results later this week. In the meantime, here is the link to Teri's site for directions to the Tightly Curly Method demonstrated on her beautiful long locks (one day guys lol)! Enjoy! http://www.tightlycurly.com/technique/curlyprimer/#
Sidenote: I am trying really hard to resist the temptation of PJism (aka Product Junkism). I am determined to have ONE shampoo bottle, ONE conditioner bottle and ONE deep conditioning treatment bottle. It's going to be hard but so be it. I am tired of seeing bottles and bottles of half empty products in my bathroom. I also want to be consistent on what I use on my hair because I think consistency is key to maintaining happy hair. Bottom line: I am cheap. So if I find something that is working, I am going to stick with it. I don't see the point of spending money on tons of different hair products that will end up lining up your bathroom walls, collecting dust (nice deco). I am not saying don't experiment, just don't go product crazy where you have so many hair products you don't even know what to do with them. If it ain't broke, don't fix it ladies (and you will save money doing it too)!
