Clean as a whistle and clear as a bell...

So guys, it's kind of official -- my doctor just gave me a clean bill of health! I've been dealing with some thyroid "difficulties" these past three months, and I felt like I was caught in an endless medical web of tests and more tests, but it's over -- or at least I'm officially ending it with my doctor. And to be honest, this whole experience left me feeling worse than my actual "condition."  I'm almost afraid of celebrating too soon because of the what ifs, but still, I am so thrilled to know that my body is finding her balance naturally. What this challenge has shown me is, on one hand, how fragile my body is, but at the same time how underestimated it is in terms of the power it has to heal itself. I'm not exactly sure what caused the imbalance in the first place (nor is my doctor for that matter...), but I am definitely going to take extra care of myself, especially when it comes to dealing with stress.

After this whole fiasco, I have been left with a sour taste in my mouth when it comes to conventional medicine and the way it over-medicates and over-tests. I find myself becoming more and more interested in alternative therapies (naturopathy, homeopathy, etc...). Not to say that conventional medicine is bad -- I do think there is an absolute need for it -- but I think lifestyle and holistic changes can supplement conventional medicine as well, and can be just as powerful, if not more.

Anyway, a great weight has been lifted off of my shoulders...

What are your views on holistic/alternative medicine?  What's worked for you?

And if anyone has any natural tips for energy boosters I'd love to know...
