Happy Monday everyone and welcome back from the weekend! This week's music mix correlates directly with my love affair with the Portuguese language. I took Portuguese for a year in college, and all my memory managed to retain is how to say, "My name is..." It's a start.

Sara Tavares grew up in Portugal and is of Cape Verdean descent. Her music is a beautiful infusion of her Cape Verdean heritage. Need I just say her voice is like butta and will melt your ears!
