Random Mini Hair Routine Update:
I am currently testing out a new hair routine that was recommended to me by Jeff, the awesome stylist who cut my hair a few weeks ago. It basically consists of mainly co-washing with a non-silicone conditioner weekly and "cleansing" with Apple Cider Vinegar in place of shampoo once every month or so. By basically avoiding "anything that lathers," I was told that I'll be aiding in the health and growth of my hair.
In this routine, I will also be nixing the use of regular conditioner as a leave-in and instead using a moisturizing cream. And for the record, I feel that my hair drying time has been cut in half since using a cream moisturizer (like half a day as opposed to a day and a half)!
In terms of oiling, for me, this is essential. I don't care what anyone says! I have to oil my hair daily or else my hair will feel like brillo pad central. I was told to opt for oils like Jojoba or Hempseed. For now, I will be using Karen's Body Beautiful Hair Butter (which is packed with a lovely array of oils and butters). This keeps my hair super moisturized especially during the winter months.
Anyway guys, I'll give you a more in depth look into this routine soon! Should be washing my hair in the New Year! Let's see if I can hold out. For now, so far so good.
