Last weekend, my sister, my BFF and I attended NaturallyCurly's Pool Party in NYC. I hope some of you were able to make it and had a great time! We definitely enjoyed ourselves. The event was at a great venue (super classy) nestled near Times Square. It was a great turn out, with almost 300 natural beauties and friends in attendance. Despite it being a pool party and all, I did not end up swimming, even though it was tempting (considering it was close to 100 degrees that day). The temperature also explains why my hair was up in my beloved Frida braids. I did not want to risk having a bad hair day at an event about hair!

My sister, however, was brave and wore a braid out adorned with a lovely flower. Her hair held up beautifully.
