Monday, I had the GREAT HONOR of seeing Prince live in concert at Madison Square Garden! First and foremost, my sister and I acquired these tickets just by chance, when her friend offered their two extra tickets to us (go figure)! It was a beautiful coincidence.

OMG (literally the only words that can come out of my mouth when it comes to how great of a show it was). Prince is a true artist and performer, and he emits this sexual energy that just makes you go crazy. It was funny to see some women (and men) transform into 14 year old girls, screaming and jumping up and down. The audience, especially the section I was in, were all on the same page.

There were appearances made by Cee-Lo, QuestLove, Whoopi Goldberg and Kim Kardashian just to name a few. And yes, for those of you who have not seen the footage yet, Prince totally did kick Kim Kardashian off the stage. It was kind of amazing. She waltzes up the side stairs with the hype woman and just stands there, while Prince tries to do "the bump" with her. Maybe it was nerves or embarrassment, but the girl just stood there laughing and trying to look cute. Girl, when Prince tells to move, you move. So Prince, a bit exasperated, said, "Get off the stage!"

That was definitely not the highlight for me, but it was pretty darn funny. The highlights for me included his six encore performances (I think it was 6, though I wasn't counting. He just kept coming back out on stage) and his performance of Purple Rain. Everything was sheer perfection.

I feel so honored to have seen a legend (the few that we have left unfortunately). In the words of Prince, that night was "real music, by real musicians..."
