Blah & Yay!

So remember how I said that I was going to try the Conditioning Hair Masque from Butters-N-Bars... yeah I tried it. And I really, really, absolutely, positively hated it. I could only try it once - that's all my hair could physically take. I applied it after I shampooed and conditioned my hair, as usual, and put it under a plastic cap. I did this pretty late at night, so I left it on overnight (which it says you can do for an even deeper conditioning). Maybe that was a bad move on my part, because the next morning when I rinsed it out my hair was like a HAYSTACK! And it was really hard for me to rinse out - it even left a reddish clay residue on my scalp. Sadly, my hair was not a fan of this product and it just did not work for it in any way :-(

Conclusion: No go.

Henna:

I mentioned also that I would be revisiting Henna which was not horrible experience, but it is very time consuming and a little too messy for my taste. I do love Ayurvedic treatments for the hair, however I was thinking there has to be a better, less time-consuming/ messy way. I went to my favorite Indian grocery and scanned the hair and beauty aisle. I remembered that my sister had been raving about the Dabur Vatika Deep Conditioner Hot-Oil Treatment that contains Olive Oil, Almond Oil and Henna. Some of the ingredients aren't the best, but I picked it, along with some other items, yesterday,  Wow, I tried this last night and my hair feels AMAZING! I proceeded to style my hair in two- strand twists with my usual go-to product (Hello Hydration Conditioner) and I also used another product that my sister recommended: Vatika Hair Oil (with ingredients such as Coconut oil, Henna, Amla and Lemon). Again, there were probably two ingredients that I was not too happy about, but they were listed as the very end of the list and were probably used in very small amounts. My hair absolutely loved this oil as well. I used it to seal my ends after I applied the conditioner. I've only used these products one time so far and I really love them. I want to continue to use the Dabur Deep Conditioner as my weekly treatment and I want to use the oil as my sealant.

Conclusion: I love the fact that both the conditioner and the oil contain the Ayurvedic herbs that I have used before. And, the oil's first ingredient is coconut oil which I love and it gives my hair such great shine. So, it is a nice mix of ingredients that I like.

Big up to my sister for these recommendations!

I'll keep you guys posted!
