Hello beautiful people! Welcome back from the weekend. As promised, I wanted to show you my results from Teri's Tightly Curly Method. First, I washed and conditioned my hair with Aubrey Organics Honey Suckle Rose, then I conditioned with Suave Naturals Coconut conditioner. I then put my hair into four sections and loaded them up with a "combing" conditioner. There is a list of combing conditioners on the Tightly Curly website to use for when you are defining your strands. I happened to have some left over Aussie Moist conditioner, which worked pretty well.
Once your hair us loaded up with conditioner and section, using a Denman brush, I combed through each section separating the curls, smoothing, then twirling each strand. I am not going to lie, I didn't literally do each strand as Teri did because it is really time consuming for one. But, I twirled the major players ;-) Once you have smoothed and twirled each section, you are done. That's it. The only thing you have to do is not touch it (to avoid frizz) and to let it air dry. I did it at night and even having slept on it, my curls managed to stay bouncy and unflattened.
A little note of caution: you might feel your curls are a little crunchy when drying from all the conditioner, but when dried, they should be soft.
I really loved the results and how my curls looked. The style lasted me about a week. By around third day, I combed out some of the curls with a pick for extra fullness and volume. It was great!
