I had to dedicate yet another post to the greatness of Henna. I have used Henna about two times now, and I am loving the results. My hair has never felt softer, or looked this shiny, since I don't know when! For my second treatment, I added amla and brahmi, which are other Aruveydic herbs, to the Henna. I feel that the Amla and Brahmi helped in conditioning my hair as well. I am going to continue on with this mix. It might become my staple!
I have heard some people say that Henna and/or Amla dries out their hair. In this case I would try following up with a non-protein deep conditioner to avoid any dryness. I usually do a 30-45 minute deep conditioning treatment after henna. After the deep conditioning, I leave in some conditioner and twist using Aubrey Organics B5 Design Gel. I make 4 sections (5 twists per section).
