Everytime I hear this song, it cracks me up. Known as one of the founding members of Destiny's Child (before they had all those changes), Letoya is enjoying her solo career. This tune is from her second 2009 solo album entitled Lady Love. And for those breakups that ended on a sour note, life is about karma -- and seeing your ex when you're feeling good and looking damn fly (hair and outfit so right). He must regret the day that he left you... Check out Letoya's video "Regret" here.
Music: Brand New Heavies
Welcome back from the weekend! To start this Monday morning off right, this is one of my favorites from the lovely N'dea Davenport (also known as the lead vocalist of the British funk band Brand New Heavies). This track entitled "Bring It On," is off her 1998 solo album. There are a lot of head grooving joints on this album. For a taste, check out her video here.
Music: Morcheeba
I love Morcheeba! This British group formed in the mid-1990s, recruiting the beautiful Skye Edwards as their lead vocalist. Their sound is fresh and different. You can also check out Skye's debut solo album Mind How You Go.
Music: Q-Tip feat. Norah Jones
I am really feeling this song "Life is Better," by Q-Tip and Norah Jones. The video is pretty cool too. Check it out!
