London-born Maya is a woman of many trades acting as a songwriter, record producer, singer, rapper, fashion designer and visual artist. Her lyrics also hold a sort of global consciousness which is platformed on the back of an electronic beat - giving it its appeal. M.I.A is an artist all the way around. Check out M.I.A. in "Boyz."
