As many of us know, we lost a legendary voice this past weekend. I recently voiced that when we lose a talent like that, we realize how small the pool of actual talent really is. I thank all of the great legends who have left us this year (Whitney Houston, Etta James, Don Cornelius and others), who were able to give us so much joy through their music and words. To Whitney, who set the bar for vocal excellence, to Etta, who made us feel through her words, and to Don, who made us dance throughout... Thank you.

Here's Whitney's first single, "How Will I know" which was released in March 1985 (and was also the number one song on the day I was born!). Let's enjoy and remember Whitney's legacy through her voice and music.
