I don't know why Miles Davis's Flamenco Sketches always reminds me of rainy days. I thought of this recording this weekend because of the rain--I sometimes enjoy rainy days (from the inside). It brings about a contemplative relaxation, and its just another excuse to enjoy Flamenco Sketches... I've always thought of this piece as, in its nature, "kind of blue," in the way that it can make you marvel at the rain from your window pane and connect the music with nature's way of slowing us down.
Hope you all took some time to slow down this weekend -- if not, take a few minutes to slow down now :-)
