Malick Sidibé (1935) is a Malian photographer known for his black-and-white portraits depicting the youth culture of the Malian capital, Bamako. He opened his own studio in the capital in 1958, and continued to photograph up until the 1970s, creating a type of studio photography that possesses a spirit as lively as his subjects. He has a captivating way of capturing life, love and soul.
