Inspiration:
This month I wanted something bright and funky for my nails, and I was inspired by a bouquet of flowers. I thought purple and green would be an interesting color combination. And, instead of the classic half-moon look (see here), I thought it would look cool for the half-moon to come to a point instead. All in all, me likey!

Last weekend in the "Burg" (Williamsburg, Brooklyn)--on my way to my first engagement party ever! I can say that it's starting. One of my high school friends will be tying the knot with her boyfriend -- and as I reconnected with my high school peeps I could only think of how fast we are growing up and becoming adults and stuff. Sometimes I still feel like I'm twelve (shhh).
Marriage, um, gross! But on a serious note, I couldn't be happier for them.
Hair: A simple high bun slicked back with Eco Styler Gel.
My life seems to take place underground in the subway. Another "on my way" image going to see
The Avengers (in my too cool for school Beyoncé inspired shades). So, how was the movie? Let's just say I did my boyfriend a huge favor; I rested my eyes for an hour or two.
Hair: Back in a low bun with a head band for those pesky fly aways. Seriously, it's time to wear my hair out again!
And last but certainly not least, here I am celebrating my best friend and her artwork at the "Kingston Avenue, Super Saturday" art festival in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. It was awesome! I am so proud of her!!!
Oh, and did I mention all these events took place in one day?! No wonder why I feel asleep in the movie theater... I have to ration my outings to once a day. Sometimes mentally twelve, always physically ninety-two.

Hey Guys,
So my best friend will have her photography displayed at the "Kingston Avenue, Super Saturday" event on Saturday, May 19 from 1:00 PM-5:00 PM in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The aim is to help in the effort of ending violence in the neighborhood through the use of art.
Remember those interior shots I photographed earlier from Kingston Lounge? Well, my friend photographed my boyfriend and I there as part of larger photography series called States of Mind, an interpretation of the covert emotions many people have in today's economy. Her photographs will be displayed on Kingston Lounge's exterior.
So if you are in the BK area come through and support local artists for a great cause!!
Happy May! Presenting my nails for this month: Hot pink with a royal blue glitter gradation on the tips. Since sandal weather is more or less here, I'm debating whether or not to get gel on my toes? What do you think? I've heard they can last up to 2 months! Sounds really enticing. But, I don't know--I feel like maybe it's more of a commitment to get gel on your toes (even more so than your fingernails). It's my weird thinking... Ah, we'll see.
